What People Are Saying About 'Eighth Grade Bites'
"A spooky mystery that's funny, gruesome, heartwarming, spellbinding,
sad, joyous, surprising and topped off with a tasty blend of blood and
chocolate. Yum. What more could you ask for?" ~D.J. MacHale,
New York Times-bestselling author of PENDRAGON: JOURNAL OF AN ADVENTURE
THROUGH TIME AND SPACE
"'Eighth grade Bites' had me on the edge of my seat. It's a
great piece of fiction. It drops you right into the action, grabs
you by the throat (pun intended), and won't let go. Vladimir Tod
is a truly sympathetic character cursed with an existence not of
his own doing, but doing his best to do the right thing. It's part
'Goosebumps' mixed with 'Harry Potter' and a dash – no, a heaping
tablespoon – of Stephen King. If you're in eighth grade, or
a vampire, or an eighth grade vampire, 'Eighth Grade Bites' is a
definite must read!"~Butch Hartman, creator of Nickelodeon's
THE FAIRLY ODD PARENTS and DANNY PHANTOM
"Eighth Grade Bites is a terrific vampire tale told with a
sharp, middle-school grin. It definitely does not bite!" ~Christopher
Moore, author of BLOODSUCKING FIENDS and A DIRTY JOB
"Eighth Grade Bites is a delightful novel filled with dark,
biting humor that will appeal to everyone who ever felt they were
different. A deft hand at depicting the angst of teen years, Heather
Brewer does a wonderful job blending vampire legend with the modern
day horror that strikes fear in the heart of so many: the eighth
grade."~Katie MacAlister, New York Times-bestselling author
of EVEN VAMPIRES GET THE BLUES
"Heather Brewer has invented the most endearing of vampires
in Vlad, an eighth grader juggling the woes of adolescence with the
decidedly unique difficulties of being a vampire. She perfectly captures
the humor and angst of eighth grade, mixed with a nail-biting adventure.
Utterly charming and irresistible!" ~Liza Conrad, author of
HIGH SCHOOL BITES: THE LUCY CHRONICLES
"This book will fool you. Just when you think you've identified
it as a story lit by the cheery glow of a slightly scary jack-o-lantern,
it becomes something else -- a tale told by the flickering light
of a dying campfire late at night. And the shadows are very dark
indeed. A surprising mix of humor and horror." ~Douglas
Rees, author of VAMPIRE HIGH
"Fresh and fast-paced, with just the right brew of chills and
laughs. I’m looking forward to finding out what happens when
Vlad hits Grade Nine." ~Nancy Baker, author of KISS OF THE
VAMPIRE
"A fabulous book from a gifted storyteller! I never wanted
it to end." ~Gena Showalter, author of OH MY GOTH |

Hm...impatience...
Well it depends on what I'm waiting for...
The chance to talk to a friend=Writing them a letter
Waiting for a book to come out=read another in the meantime
I spend most of my time doing school stuff, reading, and rping (besides for right now as Kait can't use her phone). Watching TV can pass the time too. I recommend you watch Moonlight, it's one of my favorites.
I hope you don't have to wait too long though!
The above comment is from K8, my sister was on my computer while I was at school...>>
Love the I has minions pic!!!!!
Stacey Naz (the one who told you about the Vlad digital book trailer) is my school librarian, so anywayz i was thinkin maybe you'd come to my school, you know, hang out, sign autographs, GIVE OUT A HOODIE TO YOUR MOST DEVOTED FAN (cough cough ME cough)...
i must know what is behind the door!
DON"T TORTURE ME LIKE THIS!!!!!
I adore the minions pic :)=
You're not alone. I felt mopey today too. When I feel all mopey and impatient, I read, watch Moonlight (which I agree is an awesome show), watch youtube videos, and sometimes I just look around for funny pics like that kitty/minion one. Eventually, you'll find something to do and get so caught up in it that time is going to fly by like something that flies really fast. (I also like to put my fake fangs in that I got at Hot Topic, stare into the mirror, and pretend I'm a vampire)
Peace and Vamp Love!

omg i can't wait now tht u've said tht yeah plus june 22 is my birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yay ill b 15 lol yay cant wait for tht either
Well usually if I am waiting on something coming soon, I'd fantasize. :)= But, if that doesn't work, I'd go read short stories online. A lot of young writers put their stuff online to get feedback from others. And I bet they'd like a real author to comment as well. So it'd be a fun thing to do.
P.S: The "big thing" coming pic is awesome. :)=
And the mopeyness river has ebbed. All better now. It's amazing what a little shopping and chocolate can do. :)=
If it's shopping for book, I'm in ;)
must know what is behind the door!!!!!!!!!! why do youtorture us like that??? why?
about the impatience thing, i can relate. shool is almost over, my b-day is coming up(June 21!!! I turn 16!!!), and a few b-day partys for the next couple weekends.
