Who Wants To Win A Paperback (and a hoodie)???

I'll make this easy. All you have to do is comment here...about anything at all. And I'll pick the winner of a brand new paperback of EIGHTH GRADE BITES next Tuesday, the 25th. In fact...I'll pick two: one on MySpace and one on my blog. AND each winner will get a hoodie. :)= Get to it, Minions!

Yay! Hoodie and paperback! hehe, though me don't really mind since me have book and hoodie already, but me need to ask if it ok Auntie. I am writing two books right now and, if you're ok with it, I've used you and Vlad's names! You are in my book as Miss Brewer, the awesome happy school teacher, and Vlad (in my book spelled Vladimir) is an awesome cat. If you read my story, you will find how awesome the cat is. :)=

Urgh...
I never win anything.

The last time I actually won something was, like... 8 years ago? And that was for some kiddie drawing at a local store.

So yeah. I'm just commenting with the slight hope of winning.
But I'm not going to get my hopes up much because, well, it's doubtful I'll even win.
And if I do... Well, won't I just be a bundle full of vampiric joy? lol

I hope you are feeling better. Allergies--and just getting sick in general--suck, and not in the vampire way that we all love.

Your (slightly insane) minion,

All I have to say is Boba Fett.... Fareal??? I've been holding this in all week but, you know who Jason reminds me of? Han Solo. Not kidding. Same exact attitude! lol. I forced him to watch the original three a couple of weeks ago and I kept punching him on the arm and shouting, "See??? He's just like you!!!" lol

Heather,
Vampire Clan was about this guy,Rod Ferrell, claimed he was a Vampire n he took his girlfriend,Charity Keesee, her friend,Dana Cooper, his ex girl friend,Heather Wendorf, n his friend,Scott Anderson, they all were basically misfitted teens, but they went from Florida to New Orleans...Rod had everybody believing he was a Vampire and tht he could change them....sadly he was so messed up from his childhood tht he killed Heather's parents and got arrested, he still sits in jail to this day and so does Scott but Heather didnt go to jail and Dana is still in but getting out soon and Charity go out if i remember right last year....... sorry this was soooo long....

hey out there,

I'd like to point out that I stumbled across your page quite by accident. You see, being rather nerdish, I was flicking though some deviantart profiles where one of the artist (the one who made the animated movie for eighth grade bites). Well watching the short instantly got me interested. I mean vampires, troubled teens, I couldn't wait to buy it . but then (after searching though wikipedia (who has hardly any infomation on you, and none on the books) and then other blogs, your myspace, (i sound like a stalker, sorry ^_^')) it started to dawn on me that the books would not be sold in Australia. Naturally i cried, then went through disbelief, then cried some more just for something to do.

I'm actually desperate to read these books, so if you have any info on a possible international release date I'd love to know. or rather concider this my entry for this comp... that's if australia's not too far. :D

thanks anyway.

Okay, let me see if I can answer at least a few of these. :)=

Rach: If Jason is like Han Solo, you totally must keep him. That sarcastic, flirty way that HS has is just, well...it's hot ;)

Anon 5:01: Pens? Or pins? I mail pins to Minions, but generally save pens to give away at signings (though I did send some pens out as a "sorry I took so long" gift to some Minions).

Rachel: Oh yes, I know all about Rod Ferrell. A very troubling story about a very troubled boy.

xxnightmarenikkixx: Black :)=

Jade: the moment I know about Vlad going foreign, I'll post it here--promise. (But you'll probably hear me celebrating from there)

aejuhasz: I do try to respond to everyone. :)=

What People Are Saying About 'Eighth Grade Bites'

"A spooky mystery that's funny, gruesome, heartwarming, spellbinding, sad, joyous, surprising and topped off with a tasty blend of blood and chocolate. Yum. What more could you ask for?" ~D.J. MacHale, New York Times-bestselling author of PENDRAGON: JOURNAL OF AN ADVENTURE THROUGH TIME AND SPACE

"'Eighth grade Bites' had me on the edge of my seat. It's a great piece of fiction. It drops you right into the action, grabs you by the throat (pun intended), and won't let go. Vladimir Tod is a truly sympathetic character cursed with an existence not of his own doing, but doing his best to do the right thing. It's part 'Goosebumps' mixed with 'Harry Potter' and a dash – no, a heaping tablespoon – of Stephen King. If you're in eighth grade, or a vampire, or an eighth grade vampire, 'Eighth Grade Bites' is a definite must read!"~Butch Hartman, creator of Nickelodeon's THE FAIRLY ODD PARENTS and DANNY PHANTOM

"Eighth Grade Bites is a terrific vampire tale told with a sharp, middle-school grin. It definitely does not bite!" ~Christopher Moore, author of BLOODSUCKING FIENDS and A DIRTY JOB

"Eighth Grade Bites is a delightful novel filled with dark, biting humor that will appeal to everyone who ever felt they were different. A deft hand at depicting the angst of teen years, Heather Brewer does a wonderful job blending vampire legend with the modern day horror that strikes fear in the heart of so many: the eighth grade."~Katie MacAlister, New York Times-bestselling author of EVEN VAMPIRES GET THE BLUES

"Heather Brewer has invented the most endearing of vampires in Vlad, an eighth grader juggling the woes of adolescence with the decidedly unique difficulties of being a vampire. She perfectly captures the humor and angst of eighth grade, mixed with a nail-biting adventure. Utterly charming and irresistible!" ~Liza Conrad, author of HIGH SCHOOL BITES: THE LUCY CHRONICLES

"This book will fool you. Just when you think you've identified it as a story lit by the cheery glow of a slightly scary jack-o-lantern, it becomes something else -- a tale told by the flickering light of a dying campfire late at night. And the shadows are very dark indeed. A surprising mix of humor and horror." ~Douglas Rees, author of VAMPIRE HIGH

"Fresh and fast-paced, with just the right brew of chills and laughs. I’m looking forward to finding out what happens when Vlad hits Grade Nine." ~Nancy Baker, author of KISS OF THE VAMPIRE

"A fabulous book from a gifted storyteller! I never wanted it to end." ~Gena Showalter, author of OH MY GOTH
